Most people love summer, however, if you are passionate about skincare then you might be afraid to spend too much time under the sun – after all, no one wants sunburn and wrinkled skin????.

Fortunately, you don’t need to lock yourself indoors. There are several ways you could enjoy the season while being outdoors!

In this article, we give you a few tips to maintain healthy skin during the season.

SPF!

We certainly don’t need to tell you the benefits of SPF to your overall skin health. Whether it’s summer or winter, SPF is the best protection for your skin.

During hotter months, an SPF 30 or higher is needed. SPF is not only needed for your face but for all exposed areas of your body. That includes your ears, feet, and lips.

Keep Moisturizing

During this season, the air is hot and humid and your skin doesn’t seem as dry. Well, you still need to keep your skin moisturized.

Moisturizers don’t only prevent dry skin, they protect the skin from pollutants and chemicals by acting as a barrier. All these elements exist all throughout the year, and it’s crucial that you keep moisturizing.

If you tend to get oilier than usual, you might want to swap your heavy moisturizers for lighter options.

Stock Up On Vitamin C

Vitamin C serum is an amazing product no matter the season. However, they come in particularly handy during the hotter months. They prevent hyperpigmentation, reduce wrinkling and fine lines, and increase collagen production.

Go Easy On The Makeup

Applying too much makeup clogs your pores. During the summer, this is made worse because humidity and heat make it more difficult for the skin to breathe.

Reduce the number of makeup products you use on your face or opt for noncomedogenic products. Simply put, those are makeup products that are formulated to be lightweight to prevent clogging of the pores.

Use A Good Toner

Apart from cleansers, toners are great for closing open pores. Closed pores prevent dirt, sweat, and pores from getting deep into the skin.

For natural and light toners, consider aloe vera and cucumber-based products.

In Conclusion

Warmer seasons are an excellent time for vacations. Nothing ruins a fun-filled holiday like having to avoid the sun to protect your skin.

With the steps listed above, you should be able to maintain your skin’s health while taking part in some of your favorite activities.

That being said, your skin requires extra TLC during the summer. If you need glowing, youthful, and radiant skin – we have the perfect solution! Our treatments work on all skin types and last for longer.
